A WMS controls devices like ASRS cranes or AGVs but often lacks insights about what&#8217;s coming next. \/>That\u2019s the challenge Quinaptis took on: <strong>creating a communication layer between EWM and the PLC<\/strong>, with SAP acting as the interpreter.<\/p><p>And to develop and test that class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Quinaptis built a functional warehouse robot using <strong>Lego Mindstorms EV3<\/strong>, which includes:<\/p><ul><li>a programmable PLC\u2011like controller,<\/li><li>motors and sensors,<\/li><li>the flexibility to simulate real warehouse movements.<\/li><\/ul><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>The goal?<\/p><p>Convert the Lego robot into a <strong>miniature ASRS crane<\/strong>, fully controlled by SAP EWM.<\/p><p>Once successful, the prototype will evolve into a scaled\u2011down automated warehouse where SAP orchestrates real\u2011world robotic behaviour.<\/p><p>This hands\u2011on experiment also deepens our understanding of:<\/p><ul><li>warehouse traffic algorithms,<\/li><li>routing logic,<\/li><li>safety
